These are a few of my favorite [Christmas] things...

I know this blog was not supposed to include randomness, but I can't resist a good survey! (Thanks to Hubby's cousin for posting!)

1. Egg Nog or Hot Chocolate? Oh definitely hot chocolate! I'm a chocololic.

2. Does Santa wrap presents or just sit them under the tree? My parents... er... "Santa" always wrapped presents, which appeared magically under the tree by Christmas morning.

3. Colored lights on tree/house or white? Hubby and I are starting our own traditions, so it's still a work in progress, but we have colored lights on the 3-foot tree, and will probably put blue/white ones icicles on the back porch whenever the weather clears up long enough to get outside for a few minutes.

4. Do you hang mistletoe? OOOOH! Thank you for reminding me! I need to pull mine out of my storage bin.

5. When do you put your decorations up? Whenever Thanksgiving is over, usually that weekend or the following weekend. But the decorations are always up before my birthday!

6. What is your favorite holiday dish? The M&M machine filled with Christmas-colored M&Ms.

7. Favorite Holiday memory as a child? Nothing jumps out...

8. When and how did you learn the truth about Santa? I was 7-ish; but Mom and Dad pretended all the way through college.

9. Do you open a gift on Christmas Eve? Mom gets my sister and me an ornament every year, and we open that on Christmas Eve.

10. How do you decorate your Christmas tree? Right now there are colored lights and colored balls... but this could change. As I mentioned, being a newlywed means new traditions.

11. Snow! Love it or Dread it? Love it! But never get to see it.

12. Can you ice skate? I've been a couple times, but am not that stable.

13. Do you remember your favorite gift? I don't think I have a "favorite"... but I always had great things!

14. What's the most important thing about the Holidays for you? Remembering the birth of Christ.

16. What is your favorite holiday tradition? Cinnamon rolls for breakfast on Christmas morning. Yum!

17. What tops your tree? A star

18. Which do you prefer, Giving or Receiving? Giving. I love the look on someone's face when they are delighted by something I bought.

19. What is your favorite Christmas Song? Breath of Heaven

20. Candy Canes: Yuck or Yum? Indifferent.

21 Favorite Christmas Show? Tie between Charlie Brown and How the Grinch Stole Christmas (the original animated one).

22. Saddest Christmas Song? Christmas Shoes. I change the station when it comes on because I cannot handle it.
